Welcome to my Blog!

I'm sure you have as many things about our country and government that you'd like to get off your chest as I do. Well, that is what this blog is for! Sound-off on laws, the people that govern us like Congress, the economy, Credit card issues, banks, jobs, etc. Please be courteous. I will try my best to respect your view even if you don't agree with mine. Please do the same for me.
Thank you.

Why have we forgotten?

Many of us were going downhill before we elected a new President. We welcomed change, but only a year down the road we have forgotten the past that made us welcome a new president and the change he would work for. Eight years of leadership prior to this took us from a surplus to a deficit, a wrecked economy, home foreclosures, and unemployment. Unfortunately, because our new leader can't snap his fingers and make all of this disappear over night, we've lost sight of the past that haunted us and drove us to elect him. Some of our attitudes are like that of the Jews who wanted to go back down into Egypt and slavery rather than endure the hardships and continue the fight. Yes, endure the hardships. They weren't created over night and they won't go away over night. Yes, continue the fight! The same sounding off that Joe and the other common people made during the campaign trail is the fight that must continue. These are some numbers we must keep in mind when you vote this year:

100 times Republicans stalled or used obstructionist tacticks to slow progress in 2009.
1,000 Number of hours that Republicans have wasted using unnecessary stalls and delays.
0 Senate Republicans voted for the health care reform bill.
16 Democratic incumbents up for election this November.
Only 1 Seat need by the Republicans
to regain the power to filibuster legislation.

Remember what John F. Kennedy said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Let's continue the fight!
